Nike’s famous Doernbecher program is responsible for some of the most valuable sneakers ever made – and this September they’re dropping another one. The initiative contributes to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital by allowing kids to design their own sneakers, auctioning or selling them at market, then giving back the proceeds.
This Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 aligns with a uniform for the University of Oregon’s football team designed by three kids. The shoe takes on a comic aesthetic, with cartoonish characters and text decorating its mudguard and bursts of bright colour peppered throughout.
You’ll be able to see the team hit the field in this gear on September 9 – the same day you’ll also be able to pick up a pair for yourself. Check out Nike SNKRS on the day and snare a feel-good pair of Airs.
