Punks and mods are two of the go-to British-born subcultures that people call on at costume parties – and there's plenty of folks still getting around in ripped jeans and mohawks or tight suits and trilbies quite seriously too. They were music movements that were the epitome of cool at the time and now New Balance pays tribute to the scenesters with a couple of new M576s. The punk sneak is blacked-out with hot red and green accented N logos alternating on the pair, while a plaid lining reps the popular kilt material that popped up on a lot on punk outfits. Meanwhile for the lovers of the finer things in life, the Mod version has a comfy shearling lining and subdued collars, altogether much more prepared for a cold British winter. Both are UK-made and of course feature the Union Jack stamp of approval on the tongue. Sorry Brits, if you want to secure a piece of your own culture you'll have to pre-order these from Japan's atmos (for now at least).
