The New Balance 580 is 20 years old this year and the milestone is bringing the shoe welcome attention. Parisian boutique colette have recently done their thing with the silhouette, and now Deconstructed versions of the runner are showing up like the Wings+Horns colab and this stripped back duo here.
You only need to look back to the Packer Shoes 580s from earlier this year to see how far this Deconstructed version has come in terms of streamlining. Bulky overlays have been replaced by a sleek 3-piece upper with a neoprene bootie and plenty of perforations, while the midsole is then lightened with REVlite technology.
The two colourways here also have differing materials – the navy has a full suede upper, and the white is made from full grain leather.
The New Balance 580 Deconstructed pack will be available from select New Balance accounts globally from July 1.
