In fact, the unique design is just one entry from a six-part collection revisiting the underrated 99X entry. The other partners involved? Heavyweights like atmos, United Arrows, BEAMS, mita sneakers, and N.HOOLYWOOD. While that atmos design opts for a multicoloured execution with asymmetrical blocking across the left and right shoes, the United Arrows pair goes with a clean white leather build and tan suede heel. BEAMS, on the other hand, coupled premium black leather with off-white suede, while mita covered theirs in stripes while adding bright green branding to the medial side. Last but not least, N.HOOLYWOOD's version goes the over-branded route while adding ripstop mesh to the tongues.
Look for the atmos, nonnative, and United Arrows designs to all drop on July 27, while the BEAMS, mita, and N.HOOLYWOOD colabs will follow on August 3.
All six pairs will be available via New Balance Japan and additional retailers.
