With 70 years of heritage, adidas have plenty of footwear material to work with. Expanding their retro lineup beyond the typical ZX and terrace lines is the LXCON 94, a mid-range runner from 25 years ago.
Appearing in a more contemporary colourway of a black upper sharply contrasted by bright neon orange and yellow, this is how to modernise a retro sneaker while preserving its original shape. Making the LXCON’s lace ‘cable’ bright orange is a clever touch to contrast against the black. It also looks like adidas have gotten the midsole adiPRENE font pretty close to the OG’s. Nice work.
