Converse has hooked up with French fashion boffins Maison Martin Margiela for an ice cream paint job colab on the Jack Purcell and Chuck Taylor All Star. The triple M team took four colourways with red, black, navy and vintage yellow bases and dipped them in Margiela's famed bright white paint all over. Over time, the paint cracks revealing the base colour – it's interesting stuff. The collection will drop this month at Margiela stores and select Converse First String retailers. News via Nike, INC.
UPDATE: We've got a ton of fresh shots of the colab courtesy of Melbourne's Up There, who will be hosting the Australian release this Friday before an 11am retail release the following day. Any remaining pairs will hit the web from noon on Saturday.
