Mache Customs Made Off-White Cleats

Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x Nike collaboration is great for customisers. By now, many first-time tinkerers have tried their hand at remixing the collection’s design language – and, quite frankly, most of them have sucked. Customisers, however, have excelled. The challenge has given them a chance to flex a nuanced skill set and prove their mettle.

The latest comes via Mache Customs, who have applied the deconstructed aesthetic to a cleat for NFL wide receiver Michael Thomas. The boot stays true to Virgil’s vision with orange detailing, tags, stitch work and decals, but swaps up the text to incorporate Thomas’ ‘can’t guard Mike’ tagline.

You can't own these, but if you pay attention to what Thomas has on-foot in the upcoming New Orlean's Saints games, you might catch them in action.
