Is that what we think it is? Yes, it’s a retro of the 1984 Air Ship! The legendary Nike basketball shoe is an important part of Michael Jordan lore, as it was the shoe he wore before his first signature shoe: the Air Jordan 1.
For a sneaker that old-school sneakerheads have been literally campaigning for decades, this is another of 2019’s great surprises, off the back of the ‘Air Dior’ colab. From the picture above, it appears that there will be a double pack of the Air Ship in a Player Exclusive white and red colourway, plus a matching Air Jordan 1. The double-sized, split-branded box is also quite exciting.
