UPDATE: Ricky from LimitEDitions has given us more photos of the upcoming release ahead of its September 11th release. Each pair will come in a special packaging that will include wooden lasts and a care package that includes a wax and brush from prestigious French brand Saphir. There will only be 80 pairs of the 'Patachou' to be released, so unless you're a good friend of Ricky's or a long time customer, I think its safe to put these in the 'unobtainable' list.
Barcelona boutique LimitEDitions is following up last year's Le Coq Sportif 'Rose EXD' collaboration with a special made in France version of the ECLAT model. Enlisting legendary leather suppliers Tanneries Roux, located in the historical Romans sur Isere town where France's finest footwear is produced, the shoe is crafted with premium wax leather with a beautiful goat-leather lining to showcase the finest materials the country has to offer. The detailing across the upper pays tribute to the French textile art of bobbin lace-making that also spread to Spain, a nod to the connection between the French sportswear company and the Spanish retailer. With a name inspired by the packaging of Tanneries Roux shoes in the '50s, the 'Patachou' will be released in super-limited numbers on the 11th of September, the national Independence Day for Catalunya. Enjoy the exclusive first look at the sneaker in the gallery above, as we reach closer to the release day we'll share more photos and additional information! It looks like LimitEDitions is gonna have another big release up their sleeves, well done guys!
