According to the ‘Gram, Ronnie Fieg has been out in the desert test-driving a bundle of collaborative outdoorsy gear. That is, if you consider remote luxury accommodation to be a reasonable simulation of the wilderness. Along for the ride were a handpicked selection of industry type influencers, as well as some actual athletes from the adidas Terrex team.
Although we’re yet to see exactly how the whole trip came together (we want to see athletes grinding influencers through some kind of boot camp scenario that prompts tears and hissy fits), we're beginning to get a good look at some of the product.
So far, we’ve seen Oakley eyewear, Columbia apparel and two adidas styles – the Response Trail BOOST and Agrivac. The footwear designs feature that classic Kith aesthetic, but more importantly, a true wilderness pedigree. It’s sad to imagine that so many of them will know dust better than the taste of dirt, as they sit idle while eBay listings tick away – but for those who dare to venture off the beaten track, your feet will be in safe hands.
There’s no news regarding when the Kith x adidas Terrex styles will be available – stay tuned.
