Do you think the returning ‘Shadow’ is the biggest Air Jordan 1 release of late? Well, a new challenger has entered the fray. Unveiled as part of Nike’s ‘Art of Champion’ Collection, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Pass The Torch’ is inspired by San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard.
A tribute to Leonard’s Finals MVP honours during the team’s title-winning 2014 season, the Air Jordan 1 ‘Pass The Torch’ features a colour-blocked chrome-covered upper offset by black. Leonard’s ‘Claw’ logo sits on the left tongue, while a Jumpman can be found on the right. A translucent, icy outsole featuring the ‘Claw’ logo provides a unique touch, while gold ‘2014’ dubraes and a gold Larry O'Brien trophy hangtag add a touch of luxe.
Leonard was spotted in a previously unseen gold pair of AJ1s back in January, fuelling speculation a colab was on the way.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Pass The Torch’ drops April 28 for $160 at select Jordan Brand retailers.
