The 'Playoff' Air Jordan 8s are back! Well, kind of. Like the Jordan Trainer Prime before it, which borrowed heavily from the Air Jordan 12, the Jordan Trainer Essential takes the aesthetic appearance and signature elements of the Air Jordan 8 and reworks them into a modern lightweight trainer. In lieu of laces, the sock-fit silhouette features a cross-strap across the midfoot – a slight reduction from the AJ8's dual-strap design. Other visual nods include the circular Jumpman logo on the tongue and distinctive multicolour graffiti graphic at the heel. Even the AJ8's '23' logo sneaks onto the medial side of the midsole.
No official release date is set, but look for the Jordan Trainer Essential in 'Bred' will hit NDC and Jordan Brand soon.
