Flyknit construction may have originated with Nike proper, but the Swoosh’s Jordan Brand imprint has made use of the comfy knit, too. Last June the Jumpman introduced the Trainer 2 Flyknit before updating both the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 3 with the material, and the Air Jordan 4 is reportedly getting the treatment in 2019. Before the AJ4 Flyknit debuts, Jordan is crafting a Flyknit version of another silhouette: the Air Jordan XX.
Aptly dubbed the Air Jordan 20 Flyknit, the unexpected release transforms the construction of the kicks for a decidedly contemporary spin on 2005’s Tinker Hatfield—designed original. Weirdly enough, these were apparently crafted with Carmelo Anthony in mind: Melo branding graces the insoles while other details include removeable ‘72023’ patches for both the olive and black colourways.
Stay tuned for more info and expect a release before year’s end.
