Without so much as a word of warning, the Jordan Trunner LX returned this past February to surprise us all. Since reappearing as part of Black History Month, the Trunner LX has proven itself a favourite among OG Jordanheads and new fans alike – even Drizzy couldn't resist getting on the Trunner bandwagon! With the cult classic finding mass appeal in the current sneaker climate, the Jumpman has dived back into the archives to resurrect another incarnation of the trainer x runner hybrid.
First released in 2010 – and last seen in 2011 – the Jordan Alpha Trunner will make its way back to shelves in the very near future. The low-top sneaker retains many of its predecessor's distinctive design elements, but it's a very different beast that switches weave for mesh and does away with the Trunner LX's iconic double-strap system for conventional lacing. So far, two colourways have been revealed, both tonal releases with sparing contrast pops.
No release date for the Jordan Alpha Trunner has been announced at this stage, but, with official shots doing the rounds, we can rest assured these will land in stores in the very near future.
