The Air Jordan 12 represents a pivotal time in Michael Jordan’s career, as he wore them during the 1996–97 NBA season en route to his fifth championship with the Chicago Bulls. The AJ12 was also the first in the Jordan line to use Zoom Air, and the silhouette went on to spawn a number of memorable OG colourways – including the ‘Taxi’.
Now, more than 20 years later, the Jumpman is flipping the OG ‘Taxi’ with an aptly nicknamed ‘Reverse Taxi’. Using the period correct combination of hardy black suede, the distinct reptile-textured mudguard is tonally matched. Another feature retained from the regular edition is the gold hardware on the ankle loops, for the perfect amount of bling.
