Ever since Donald Glover pledged his allegiance to adidas in a video riffing off his Migos-featuring ‘Feels Like Summer’, we’ve been waiting to see what he’ll cook up. In his recent New Yorker interview he declared that, as a creative, he was ‘different’ — that his ‘struggle with humanity is to create classic work’. Over at GQ, Glover was praised as the ‘best dressed man in the word’. But what can he do with a sneaker?
In this, our first clear look at what is supposedly Glover’s adidas collaboration, we get some answers. The low-top model looks to be a rework on the Continental, deconstructed less like Abloh’s neat Nike series and more like its uppers were fed through a shredder.

There’s no confirmation, but the pair does look like those worn by Glover at his recent Pharos festival. Given the multi-hyphenate’s output, we expected something wild. Maybe this is him paying lip service to the ideal of rappers having sneaker deals, and he’ll release the shoe with a dissertation on corporate America. Stay tuned to find out.
