Introducing Double N, a Sneaker Brand That's About the Love, Not the Hype

The handiwork of OG heads Neal Heard (author of much-loved sneaker book Trainers) and fellow Welshman, Neil Morris, up-and-coming brand Double N is out to prove that ‘winning isn’t everything’ in the sneaker game. The duo set out to create sneakers with the high-end production values and skill of Wild Bunch’s Spanish factories, all the while utilising their own knowledge and expertise.

‘Double N believe there is more to life than winning, and the insinuation that you haven’t tried or that you’re worthless if you don’t stand on the victory podium is one which they firmly stand against,’ explains Heard. ‘Hence the brand’s mantra, “Winning isn’t everything”.’

Thus, three new models pay homage to the creator’s heroes. The ‘Tommie’ nods to Tommie Smith, who broke the 200-metre Olympic record in the infamous ‘Black Power Salute’ race back in 1968. Adding to the trio, the ‘Randle’ reps the rebellious character of the same name from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, while the ‘Penn’ rounds out the debut collection.

Crafted with sustainability in mind, each pair is constructed with high-end materials, such as top-specification leather and suede from Spain.

No official release date has been revealed, but you can expect Double N to make a big statement in 2020.
