Nike's Off-White Air Jordan 1 was like the attention-stealing, honour-roll student, favourite child that made its siblings look like underachieving louts. Few of The Ten’s offspring fit the ‘underachieving’ bill better than the Blazer Mid. But why? People don’t rate simplicity highly enough, that’s why. The classic silhouette was stripped back, far from overcooked, and all the cooler for it.
And maybe because it wasn’t hyped enough first time around, it’s back. And it’s been cooked on high a little longer, resulting in a more in-your-face palette of wolf grey, black, metallic silver and hazard orange.
