The latest joint venture from The Good Will Out and Diadora, the N9000 ‘SPQR’, continues to draw on the century-spanning influence of the Roman Empire. Following their previous V7000 ‘Caligula’ and S8000 ‘Nerone’, the new design dons the regalia of Primus Pilus, the highest rank attainable by a centurion in the Roman Legion. The colourway reflects the red tunic and golden armour worn by the top brass, which would all be strapped up with leather.
The shoes come with an optional lace shroud – mimicking the era's military banners – that sport a wreath and insignia: one says TWGO for the collaborator while the other displays SPQR – Senātus Populusque Rōmānus – ‘the senate and populace of Rome.'
The Good Will Out x Diadora N9000 ‘SPQR’ will be available from TGWO on July 18, with only 300 pairs available for purchase.
