The Good Will Out Reveal Ninja-Inspired NMD Colab

September 13, 2017

UPDATE: The Good Will Out have gone above and beyond with this release. As well as creating a compelling colab, they’ve put extra effort into the storytelling department with a short film and website that divulge every facet of the release. We won’t retell the story (the website gives a much better audiovisual experience) but you can view the film here.

For many, collaboration is about creating a truly eye-catching sneaker that stands out from the rest. However, the crew at Cologne-based retailer The Good Will Out have taken a different approach: they want their latest colab to slip by unnoticed!

Linking up with adidas Consortium, TGWO have cloaked the NMD City Sock in darkness. Inspired by Japan’s feudal history, the release is themed after the legendary ninja known as Shinobi; the colab has been nicknamed ‘Ankoku Toshi Jutsu’ – a nod to their ability to see in total darkness, and to the black garb they would wear to blend into their pitch-dark surroundings.

The stealth-soaked upper features a trio of interconnected Primeknit patterns distinguished by subtle textural variation. The iconic BOOST cushioning has been coated black and equipped with rugged trail-ready tread, perfect for those looking to channel their inner ninja.

The Good Will Out x adidas Consortium NMD CS1 PK ‘Ankoku Toshi Jutsu’ will release through TGWO on September 16. Any remaining stock will hit TGWO’s online store, though you’ll probably need ninja reflexes to cart this colab!
