'Artisan', huh? It's got to be up there with 'organic' and 'gluten-free' as one of the most prevalent buzzwords in modern foodie culture. An 'artisan' shoe though? That's not a term you hear every day! For their latest collaboration with Le Coq, the lads over at Footpatrol have chosen to 'pay tribute to the skilled craftsmen/craftswomen who continue to keep a dwindling practice in Western Europe alive'. The end result is a classy pair of R800s made in the very homeland of the French sportswear label. The distinguished pair of navy and tan runners sport a premium leather and nubuck construction and, for that real decadent touch, come packaged inside a sturdy wooden box with two extra pairs of laces, wooden shoe trees and a swanky shoe care kit, complete with leather shoe cream, buffing cloth and shoe brush. These are dropping exclusively at Footpatrol on December 18th.
