Foot Patrol X Nike Air Huarache Light (Concrete)
Home Run Alert! We're more than happy to see the back in full effect in 2014 (although 'they aren't on the radar' here in Australia... #gripe). The release looked citrus fresh, but out of nowhere London's gear up to drop this 24K golden nugget. Yeah, we know that it's not gold, it's clearly a grey on grey on grey affair (as the name suggests) inspired by concrete. The heart smashing sledgehammer in the room with this release is that there are only 500 units in existence and with the thirst for Huarache reaching camel status, we can already feel these slipping through our fingers. Not that we can't enjoy some images though, just check that perforated leather lining! Hell yeah.. Did we mention the on-point shape? We admit that they remind us a hell of a lot of the grey Beams release from a decade ago (on the right below), but hey it's better than seeing them bastardised in some fruit loop scheme with a funked-out shape, injected with Lunarlon and sliced up with Free tooling and capped off with some taped seams and Hyperfused Foamposite reinvented construction. These things look Beethoven (classic). The Footpatrol x Nike Air Huarache Light 'Concrete' is due to release at 9:00AM BST on Friday 18th July. Sizes range from UK6 - UK13 (including half sizes) priced at £120.
