All hail the mighty greenback! Well, in the United States at least. Outside of the 50 states, banknotes aren't quite so green. The nation's neighbours to the North instead favour a rainbow of hues for their national tender. Celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary, the team at PUMA have produced a trio of Clyde's themed after the country's colourful currency.
Green, red and tan make-ups represent the 20, 50 and 100 dollar bills respectively. Each offering is constructed from plush tonal suede with their individual dollar values embossed at the heel and repeated across the laces. Rubber bands are fittingly printed beneath gum outsoles.
However, the most interesting element of this pack can be found in its branding. The tongue tab, heel tab and lateral Clyde branding feature iridescent detailing to mimic the colour-changing counterfeit deterrents found on Canadian banknotes.
The PUMA Clyde 'Canadian Money' pack is available right now from select stockists, including PUMA Lab locations.
