Nike’s React Element 87 continues to be all the rage, selling out of its OG colourways in the blink of an eye before following them up with ‘Desert Sand’ and ‘Dark Grey’ looks earlier this month. Now the folks in Beaverton are building on the translucent design’s success with an inexpensive takedown of the model: the React Element 55. Gone is the translucent upper and its leather and suede accompaniments as synthetic construction — as well as your more prototypical insoles in place of the 87’s cork — allows for a drop in price to $130 USD. Otherwise, the kicks are strikingly similar to their predecessor and feature the same React sole unit.
Stay tuned for concrete release info and, in the meantime, check out the shoe’s upcoming ‘Volt’ and ‘Solar Red’ colourways.
