A First Look At The adidas NMD_R2
UPDATE: We've just received official images and a certified release date for the newest NMD. The R2, with its 'Shadow Noise' upper, will release globally on December 3 at select stockists. An will join the black version to form two parts of the initial drop.
Images of the newest entry in ’ line have surfaced and they’re going to be huge – whether you like it or not. Unless you’re Google’s data analysis team, predicting future trends is clairvoyant territory – but with NMDs seemingly having the cheat code to sneaker hype the NMD_R2 is guaranteed to be a banger.
The first seen in the line has a thick, knit upper with raised stripes but the most notable feature is underfoot. The characteristic NMD midsole has been stripped of the EVA shanks on lateral side, and replaced with one hefty wedge under the arch. Whether strictly aesthetic, or whether – like adidas’ Guidance – it’s meant to counter supination is yet to be seen.
Naturally there is no release date for the NMD_R2 yet, but stay tuned and we’ll let you know as soon as one is announced.
