The new ‘Srefidensi / Independence’ collection from Amsterdam label Filling Pieces has hit the shelves, bringing another dose of contemporary styling and quality craftsmanship. The brand’s ethos is centred on freedom, which has been channelled into the collection as it pays tribute to the emancipation and subsequent self-governance in Surinam, South Africa.
The collection includes four styles: Thick Ripple, Low Ghost, Low Top Bandit and Low Top Cleo. Each one has been produced in FP’s Portugal workshop, where they use laser cut patterns for a precision build and ultra clean finish. The Thick Ripple and the Cleo have been pieced together using the finest Italian full grain leather, the Ghost utilises plush dark grey suede and the Bandit a cool grey nubuck.
Each shoe contains a neoprene sock liner, which provides a secure, comfortable fit. The soles are molded from a durable vulcanised rubber, taking on various forms, and fully stitched to the upper so they’ll stay put.
