The hype is strong with Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God in 2018, with the American fashion and sneaker designer stepping up to the courts with his first NBA sneaker (Air Fear of God 1) while also revisiting one of the year’s best retros: The Nike Air Skylon II.
Originally dropping back in 90s, the Skylon II was a lightweight silhouette built for running. Lorenzo has kept the vernacular of the OG design, and added material elements that position the sneaker alongside the heftier builds of 2018. Lorenzo has opted for a neutral bone white and sail colour combination for Skylon, leaving the suede and canvas material build untouched, adding details like a perforated tongue, Fear of God branding, and lace locking.
The Fear of God x Nike Air Skylon II is scheduled to drop on December 15.
