A hybrid of the Air Force 1 and Air Force III, Don C’s 2017 AF100 collaboration with Nike proved to be one of the campaign's most popular releases. Building on that momentum, the Chicago creative has whipped up yet another much-hyped mashup, this time with Jordan Brand.
Unveiling the design on Instagram, Don C’s Jordan Legacy 312 combines elements from the classic Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, and Air Revolution. The upper portion of the shoe is a clear homage to the AJ1, with the familiar Wings logo and high-top structure. The sole, heel, and elephant-print mudguard are obvious throwbacks to AJ3, while exposed lace eyelets and the midfoot strap scream out Air Revolution.
Jordan hybrids are nothing new, but the response is often subdued. That being said, Nike’s recent fusion exploits like the Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97 and Air Max 270 have been proven winners — Don C and Jordan Brand will be hoping those good vibes to come their way.
No release details have surfaced for the Don C Jordan Legacy 312. We’ll holler at you when we get more info.
