Does This Givenchy George Skate Mid Remind You Of Something?
You’d be forgiven for expecting this shoe to come with a Jazz Stripe, but the George Mid isn't the work of your favourite Cali skater brand; rather, these are , darling. While other high-end brands are jumping on the ‘dad sneaker’ trend, Givenchy are taking inspiration (and a bit more it seems) from a well-known skate shoe.
Named for the fashion house’s headquarters at No. 3 Avenue George V, the pared-back design is constructed from canvas and suede, with lush ankle padding and contrasting stitching. But it’s the subtle details in this shoe that set it apart: faux laces extend right to the end of the toebox, while subtle branding debossed on the outsole lends a high fashion touch.
