Doernbecher Freestyle Collection: Brody Miller’s Awesome More Uptempo

Doernbecher was a huge success. Designs from patients at Portland’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital sold out when they dropped over the weekend.

The Uptempos pictured, made by 11-year-old Brody Miller, show the early processes behind his ‘Generator Man' design (Generator Man - who can shoot healing powers from his hands - is Brody's alter ego). Bold branding and colour blocking stay true to the Uptempo’s bold aesthetic, replacing the regular 'AIR' lettering with Brody's initials, ‘BPM.'

If you’re eyeing these up, you’re outta luck. The one-of-one samples are unreleased, and will likely stay that way as they spend their time in Beaverton’s historic catalogue.

Check out Brody's other design , made as a special gift for his neurosurgeon Dr Lissa Baird.
