Revisiting the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Diadora have pulled off an all-time PB, collaborating with the best sneaker stores in the world to deliver their own unique interpretations of Olympic spirit. ‘From Seoul to Rio’ unites both sides of the Atlantic in one epic, creative marathon. The Euro crew embraces the IC4000 model and consists of 24 Kilates (Barcelona), Hanon (Aberdeen), Patta (Amsterdam) and Solebox (Berlin). Representing the US of A are Concepts (Boston), Kith (NYC) and Packer Shoes (NYC). All three US stores have added their finesse to the Intrepid runner.

The IC4000 was designed specifically for running on asphalt and featured Impact Control cushioning and Vibrassorb inserts. The Intrepid is another long-distance hauler, with polyurethane wedges and stabilisers offering a first class ride. Both Diadora runners made their debut at the Seoul Olympics. Looking at all seven shoes up close, a smorgasbord of sporting inspiration is revealed, including nods to period-correct fashion trends, Olympian symbolism and one particularly controversial moment of athletic achievement.

Each pair is limited to 500 units and available in unisex sizing with the exception of the Concepts and 24 Kilates designs, which will only be available in men's sizing. A tie-in apparel collection has also been produced, with matching tracksuit jackets and duffle bags colour-matched to each design.

The Diadora 'From Seoul to Rio' Collection will be released in two separate drops on both sides of the Atlantic. The IC4000s will release through European accounts on August 6, while the Intrepid make-ups will hit US retailers on August 20. The apparel collection will release in September through two pop-up stores, one in Tokyo and the other in Rio (natch!).
