PUMA Celebrate Def Jam's 35th Anniversary
Yet another limited-edition drop is on tap for over the weekend: a Def Jam x collaboration.
Celebrating the iconic hip hop label's 35th anniversary, the official colab sees the decked out in a burgundy upper with a semi-translucent gum rubber outsole and a golden Def Jam logo on the heel. '1984' also graces the heel pull tab, while a tonearm and stylus decorate the tongue's pull tab.
'Since hip hop’s early b-boy days, PUMA has been a staple in the culture – bringing freshness to the basketball court and style to the block party,' said Paul Rosenberg, Chairman and CEO of Def Jam Recordings. 'We're proud to celebrate Def Jam's 35th anniversary in partnership with PUMA.'
Expect a debut in Chicago over the weekend, while a wider release is slated for August 28.
