You may not be able to cop any of Kanye West's work with Nike for under a stack at resale nowadays, but if you got in early and got hella lucky on launch day, then you wouldn't have paid much over a couple hundred dollars. Nike ain't the only brand Ye has done sneaks for though, and his work with Louis Vuitton came straight out of the blocks demanding a thousand bucks at retail – maybe some of y'all would have been wiser to go straight for them? It's too late now, but that 2009 collection is still lingering in some folks' heads; clearly rapper Wale caught feelings for them, leading him to commission this Air Jordan 4 custom. Forged by Dank, the 'Louis Vuitton Don' custom replicates the steelo of this LV release on one of Wale's fave Js, and it looks damn fine. Gorgeous layers of violet, mauve, peach and burgundy make it a purped-out classic for true ballers that are deeply in touch with their feminine side. Gilded lace tassels, Wale 'W' logo embossed tongue tags and a stunning laser-engraved presentation box with shoe trees confirm this as Dank's most impressive effort yet. Bravo!
