After months of waiting, Daniel Arsham’s adidas Futurecraft 4D finally hit stores this week. And even though we’ve seen scores of product shots and on-foots, we’re only just learning that the sneaker has a hidden message.
Like his adidas New York colab before them, these Futurecrafts reveal lettering under black light. As Arsham demonstrates, ‘Future’ crosses the toe-boxes and secret Three Stripe branding appears on the mid-foot.
New shots from Solebox also show premium packaging and the white gloves adidas employees use to hold archive pairs from the vault, though it’s not clear whether all pairs come with them.
Team Trefoil have also released a dramatic video series to accompany the launch. You can see the Future edition here.
