Who would’ve thought the ‘dad shoe’ would have such longevity? Brand after brand have tried their hand making fatherly footwear cool. have joined the club at GmbH’s Paris runway show.
Models for the Berlin-based label walked the runway in what appeared to be Gel Kayanos, dressed in colours almost identical to the silhouette’s fifth generation make-up, which debuted in 1999. Paired with loose-fit acid-wash jeans, the trainers were giving us the heaviest of dad vibes. Even the PVC pants managed to look seriously normcore.
We’ve given up guessing how long chunky sneakers will last, so we’re hanging back to see were it goes.
There’s no further details on the shoes; it’s unsure whether their a colab or just showpieces. We’ll let you know if anything develops.
