Customiser Mache Turns the Nike Monarch into Homer's Dream Shoe

The ultimate dad shoe has, in the hands of  Mache, become the ultimate Simpsons tribute. The customiser has rebranded a pair of Nike Monarchs as the flashy Assassin that appeared in The Simpson's Season 2.

This spot-on custom recreates the shoes worn by Homer and Ned Flanders in the 1991 episode, capturing all the best features of the high-tech sneaker. The black ‘velcro straps’ and yellow ‘Assassin’ branding all remain true, as does the yellow tongue and red racing stripes.

Sorry to say though, the water pump in the tongue, the built in pedometer and vanity licence plates didn’t make it onto the Monarch.

Being one-of-one, you’ll never be able to get your hands on these. D'oh! But it’s nice to know they exist, isn’t it?
