UPDATE: Last seen in November, release details have finally been announced for PUMA's colourful Clyde collaboration with COOGI. The pack will release in two parts, with the first drop consisting of the more outlandish of the duo. An extremely limited and exclusive release, this Clyde features an all-over make-up of authentic COOGI material –with the exception of the form stripe. Due to the wild patterning of the material, no two pairs are alike. To add some extra opulence to an already extravagant pair of kicks, the shoes feature metallic gold branding and lace tips and eyelets plated with genuine 18K gold. These will be available March 9 exclusively through Kith, Nice Kicks LA and PUMA Lab powered by Foot Locker.
The second part of this pack, an inverse make-up of the first, will be released later in spring 2017. We'll keep you updated once a date is set!
Knitwear company COOGI have linked with PUMA to produce two Clydes spun with the brand's trademark colourful yarn. While COOGI have strong links to 90s hip hop culture, the brand have also contributed to some great sneaker designs in recent times. An Etonic Trans Am came bound in a colourful concoction a couple of years back, and a COOGI Air Force 1 custom made headlines in 2016. These Clydes follow the lead of their predecessors with a medley of strikingly mismatched knits streaking over their uppers. One fully commits to the look, with every panel bar the Form Stripe receiving the treatment, while the other is more low-key with an inverse make-up.
Information is scarce on this release for the moment, but we’ll let you know as soon as soon as the shoes become available.
