Converse Reveal Tinker Hatfield-Designed Star Series
Hot on the heels of the of the , have revealed the brand new Star Series – helmed by none other than the legendary .
Debuting later this week, the Star Series echoes the aesthetic of the brand's aforementioned return to the hardwood, while also putting a modern lifestyle spin on a basketball and running silhouette. The BB and RN will be joined by the yet-to-be-revealed UT later this year and all come in Black/Mandarin and White/Mandarin colourways as a nod to the All Star Pro BB.
'From a sports perspective, Converse is historically a basketball brand so I felt it was natural to create a shoe within that category,' said Hatfield of the designs. 'A runner is worn to work out but also worn casually, transcending the way people use and live in our products, much like how Converse has been adopted through the years. The Chukka silhouette is something that easily slides into the Converse universe; unexpected, versatile, yet familiar.'
Complete with -sourced Cushlon, the Star Series BB and RN launch May 22.
