You'd naturally assume that London Bridge traverses the Thames in the heart of its namesake city. Which one is the London Bridge, made oh so famous by the catchy tune that tells of its decay? Never fear, it hasn’t fallen down, the original London Bridge actually lives Arizona.
In 1967, an enterprising chap named Robert P McCulloch purchased the ailing structure from the City of London and shifted it Stateside brick by brick. Reassembled, the hope was that the bridge would put the town on the map. This strange tale of transatlantic Lego has played a key role in the design process of the latest collaboration between Concepts and New Balance, the 991.5 ‘Lake Havasu’.
