It’s no secret that wilderness aesthetics are en vogue right now, so it comes as no surprise that one of Japan’s cutting-edge fashion labels should have a crack at one of Nike’s most iconic outdoor designs.
At their recent runway show in Paris, Comme des Garçons debuted their very own interpretation of Nike’s ACG Mowabb, a creamy white iteration with rough-cut, unfinished seams. Each synthetic suede panel has been left hanging loose, giving the shoe the impression of a fit-sample or a garment turned inside-out. Other than that, the structure of the shoe looks more or less unchanged, save for a slightly messier perforated effect on the toe than we're used to.
The Comme des Garçons x Nike ACG Air Mowabb doesn’t have a release date just yet but we expect them to be rolling out later in the year – stay tuned.
