Closer Look: Nike x Matthew M. Williams' Upcoming Silhouette

Back in June, Matthew M. Williams revealed  that is part of his data-driven, high-tech collaboration. Despite releasing the apparel, all has been quiet regarding kicks in the capsule. However, the  founder recently took to Instagram to show us a few more pics of what is being dubbed the S19-NIKE-MMW.

A high-cut sock-inspired inner shoe, constructed with leather and mesh, has been fitted with a plastic shell for protection. Real hiking durability of the model comes through in the protective outer case of the silhouette built with Vibram rubber. Straps across the midfoot and ankle hold both components together, while thin hiking laces and a side zip provide easy access. An oversized Swoosh behind the Vibram cage and minimal MMW branding on the midsole round out the aesthetic.

So far MMW has only leaked monochromatic or tonal black colourways of the kicks. Pairs are slated for an early 2019 release, so stay tuned for more info!
