Looks like the UltraBOOST is finally getting a significant revamp from adidas in 2019. Following yesterday’s leaked hand-held snaps of the alleged 5.0 model, we now have the best look yet of the popular runner’s next evolution.
Dubbed the UltraBOOST 2019, the shoe’s most noticeable update comes via the upper cage, which now looks more like a translucent TPU side panel. The heel counter has also been upgraded, now extending into the slightly differing BOOST midsole. The Primeknit upper looks similar to previous iterations, but now takes on a bolder blocked aesthetic, opening up a wider range of colourway options.
Whether the ‘5.0’ will propel the UltraBOOST back to the heights of 1.0 days remains to be seen, but we’re sure to find out when they release in February 2019 (RRP of $180).
