Burberry are known for their conservative (and very British) aesthetic, but they’ve branched out since Riccardo Tisci took the helm in March.
The Italian designer has just revealed the brand’s new monogram, its first in 20 years, and now they’re bringing their footwear offerings into the 20th century. The Vintage Check High-Top keeps things traditional up top, sporting the brand’s famous checker print all over, with black laces adding contrast.
It’s down below where things start to heat up. A solid red sole unit nods to Tisci’s signature use of colour and is as hefty as anything the cool kids wear these days. An equally-red forefoot strap adds the final modern flourish and ensures you keep locked in.
These are available at Burberry now.
