It’s been 40 years since Bruce Lee threw his last flying roundhouse, but the immortality of his pop-culture legacy is assured. Whether it’s Kill Bill, Gorillaz, Tekken, Revenge of the Nerds or Shaolin Soccer, the yellow and black tracksuit worn by Lee in one of his most memorable film roles has become the universal kung fu meme. All of which makes it odd that his matching Tiger trainers have never been re-released. Until now. Californian retail mavens BAIT have teamed up with Onitsuka Tiger, and we can happily report that the whole deal is officially approved by the Bruce Lee Foundation. Just 399 individually numbered pairs will be available, and they all come with Bruce’s laser etched signature on the heel and a custom wooden plaque and collector shoe box. These bright bananas are up on pre-order now from Bruce Lee's website, and we suspect BAIT will be stocking up on May 10, but we'll keep you posted.
