BAPE and Reebok are collaborating once again, after previous efforts on key styles like the Instapump Fury and Question. This time, BAPE BLACK, the streetwear’s premium branch, is working on retro Reebok runners the Aztrek 96 and Electrolyte.
Unlike typical loud and gaudy BAPE colabs, this four-pack is rather understated, playing into BLACK’s luxury aspirations. Black and tan colourways let the panels and silhouettes do all of the talking, upgrading them with plush leather and durable textiles. BAPE STA logos are subtly added to the uppers and heel counters to signify the union.
It looks like BAPE can do products without camo after all… Dropping exclusively on February 12 at select doors: mastermind vs A BATHING APE® store in Hong Kong, Dover Street Market Beijing, and Shinjuku Isetan.
