Balenciaga have upgraded the Track Sneaker, stacking on even more layers for their follow-up sneaker dubbed the 'Track.2 Sneaker'. Building on the momentum of last week's release of two new Track Sneaker colourways, the Track.2 Sneaker will arrive in three different colourways for its initial release: a menacing all-black, a clean all-white, and a gundam-esque grey with blue and red detailing.
At a quick glance, the Track and Track.2 look almost identical, with a complex layered upper on a chunky sole. However, at closer inspection, the subtle changes slowly unveil themselves. If you thought the Track Sneaker had a layered upper, these Track.2s take it to the next level, now sporting over 176 individual panels and pieces. The sole sports a dual-density EVA material that keeps the overall weight light and comfortable. Elsewhere, the branding has made a shift from the tongue to an upper panel.
The Track.2 Trainer will initially drop on Balenciaga’s site on June 18 before releasing at global stockists such as SSENSE on June 25.
