UPDATE: The sky-scraping split tongue ASICS is on the horizon. Part GEL-Lyte III, part GEL-Lyte V and part GEL-Respector, The MT is the next wave of multi-seasonal sneaker. The recognisable split-tongue of the is anything but waterproof. Up until now if you wanted to pound puddles you’ve either had to steer clear of the split or just suffer the soaked sock. Enter the mid-cut GEL-Lyte III MT, with a collar that extends into a slit protecting bootie, keeping your toes cosy and dry. The MT has been beefed up for the elements with an additionally chunky heel cap – similar to that of a – and a toothy treaded outsole. The winter warrior is coming in ‘India Ink’ and grey, both with speckled soles, safe for those dreary winter mornings.
