Nike have positioned colour as the focal point of the VaporMax (well, second to the mega-bubbled sole, obviously).
Nike News describes how the flagship model embodies the brand's colour philosophies, explaining why the sneaker has appeared in such a varied onslaught of shades. The VaporMax has released in a strapped version, and even got a little kooky with its palette via a Sprite edition, but we’re yet to see it taste the rainbow (‘Be True’ aside).
These images, however, suggest a multicolour make-up might not be too far away. Appearing on Instagram, the sneaker wears a panoply of pigments around its mudguard, which shine under its Hyperfuse layer like oil on water.
Nike haven’t weighed in with any info for this colourway, but its existence surely means a similar pair is on its way.
