An On-Foot Look at the All-New adidas Kamanda

are tipping the chunky sneaker trend to blow up in a big way next year. The recently brought a hunk of heft to the world of sock-fit design and now the  looks set to do the same for Terrace trainers.

Like the Prophere, the Kamanda is defined by its imposing geometric sole unit. While daunting at first glance, these on-foot shots from Instagram user eartothestreet reveal the design to be surprisingly sleek. Featuring sleek black suede uppers, white accents, gum outsoles and a classic hit of gold foil branding, the first colourway perfectly encapsulates the 80s soccer culture that inspired the design.

A quick squiz at the  #kamanda tag on Instagram revealed that Christmas came early for a few lucky ducks who were gifted the first pairs off the production line. For the rest of us, while release info hasn't been confirmed, it's likely we'll be waiting til April.
