The leather has been traditionally with indigo to lend subtle differences to each and every pair. There’s a light blue and a darker version, which are achieved with varying degrees of immersion in the dye bath. On top of colouration, the leather has been entirely cut and sewn in Japan with exacting attention to detail. They won’t be cheap, but they'll be worth every penny.
